TUESDAY TIP: WEIGHING IN ON PAPER
All paper is not created equal. Stampin’ Up! paper and cardstock is high quality and has different weights for different uses. I recently purchased a Cricut cutter and needed to know the weight of each type of material, to adjust the pressure of my cutting blade. It prompted me to do a bit of research on our Stampin’ Up! paper.

Stampin’Up! Paper Weight
Stampin’Up! has different manufacture to make their paper. This means that the weight could vary slightly.
Color Cardstock 80 lb - we have 50 colours in two sizes, 8-1/2x 11 and 12 x 12
Basic White and Very Vanilla 80 lb (cover weight) two sizes, 8-1/2x 11 and 12 x 12
Thick 100 lb - best for card bases. two sizes, 8-1/2x 11 and 12 x 12
Vellum 43 lb
Watercolour paper 110 lb in 5 x 7 sheets (natural white with subtle texture)
Designer Series Paper 145-160 gsm (text weight 100 lb) - 2 sizes : 6 x 6 or 12 x 12 (different patterns)
Foil Sheet 100 lb
Glitter Paper 105 lb
Window Sheet 100- 110 lb
Envelopes 90 lb
Uses:
Lightweight DSP for envelopes, lightweight layers and embellishments
Designer Series Paper: paper layers and embellishments.
Cardstock: card bases, paper layers, embellishments, boxes and other packaging
Thick cardstock: card bases, boxes and other packaging.
