ON A BEAUTIFUL NOTE...

Dawn Olefske is an American demonstrator who recently reached her million dollar sales level and got to design a stamp set at Stampin’ Up! Her set, Music from my heart, is the result and it is just wonderful. She also designed this beautiful card to highlight the notes and piano. Let’s do it together.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Music from the Heart Stamp Set

  • Whisper White Thick card stock cut at 8-½” x 5-1/5 and scored at 2-⅛’ and 4-¼”

  • Whisper White piano keys ½” x 2” (10 keys total)

  • Whisper White sentiment - 2-314” X 3” (Score at 1” parallel to 3” edge) and stamp sentiment on larger side.

  • Basic Black card stock: 4-¼” x 5-½” die-cut to get the grand piano shape with Stitched oval die

  • Basic Black piano keyboard 2-⅛” x 5-⅜”

  • Basic Black piano keys - 1-¼” strip - use Classic Label Punch to cut out 7 keys

  • Blushing Bride Ribbon and paper scraps if you want to punch out some flowers.

  • Blushing Bride Classic Stamp Pad

  • Memento Ink (black) for sentiment

  • Stitched Shapes Dies (largest oval)

  • Classic Label Punch

  • Mini Glue Dots

  • Stampin Dimensionals

  • Mini Stampin Dimensionals

HOW TO

STEP 1: In upper right corner of folded card front, stamp keyboard image several times until reaching the 2-⅛” score line.

STEP 2: Fold sentiment piece, stamp on larger side your greeting with black ink and the heart note with Blushing Bride Classic Ink. Adhere the bottom section to the keyboard piece (centered ). Adhere the keyboard piece with the sentiment to the inside of the folded card base.

STEP 3: Adhere 10 white keys to the piano board. Use SNAIL at the top only, they once all the keys are positioned as you want, add a glue dot at the bottom. Adhere 7 black keys using mini Stampin Dimensionals. Group 2, then skip a note, group 3, then skip a note and group 2 (see image).

STEP 4: Use the largest Stitched Shapes oval to die cut the curve of the grand piano from the large black piece. Position the bottom left corner of the oval die in the upper right corner. At the top edge 1-¾” to the left, on the right 2” down. After die cutting, use scissors to trim off the curved ends. Adhere to folded card base on the bottom section only.

STEP 5: Wrap ribbon around the bottom card front, tie in a bow. Adhere flowers and rhinestones to taste. Then give it to someone special.
