BACK ON YOUR FEET PULL TAB FLAP CARD
Don’t let the name of this fold fool you, it’s not as complicated as it sounds. The cards we will make at our Stamp Camp, on January 18, use the overlooked stamp set Back on Your Feet, that I find absolutely adorable. The cards is inspired both by Tami White, who did a video on it, and by Dawn Griffith who did the technique with a few other stamp sets. HOW TO
STEP 1: Prepare your base card. Fold on the score line and set aside. Punch the long end of the tab piece with the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.
STEP 2: Do all your stamping. Your animal on a separate piece of white (to cut out), your greetings on the left bottom of the bigger piece of white, and the inside on the smaller piece of white. Colour your image and fussy cut. Decorate your envelope while you have the stamps and markers. Decorate your envelope.
STEP 3: Adhere your white pieces to the Daffodil Delight layers. Use Dimensionals to adhere your animal and make sure you position it so you can still see the greeting.
STEP 4: Take your Designer Paper and slide the label punch as far as it goes. Centre it from top to bottom and punch a slit .
STEP 5: This is the mechanism part. Fold the tab on the first score line. You will see the second score line on the top. Adhere your smaller piece lined up with that first score line on top. Use SNAIL on the tab part and align your square so it is centered top to bottom (as it is a bit bigger than the tab. Then use Tear and Tape on the ½” fold that remains.
STEP 6: Position the edge of the bigger square to line up with the fold that has the tear and tape and adhere it so it covers the smaller square and is centered. Stick it down. Now turn over the tap and the two squares and place tear and tape only on the back right edge of the smaller square.
STEP 7: Centre the tab through the slot on the Designer Series Paper and once you have centered it, stick it down. Then place Dimensionals on the corners making sure you do not place any glue on the mechanism area.
STEP 8: Stick your Designer Paper to the white layer and the SNAIL the white layer to the base of your card.
STEP 8: Finish your card by inserting the ribbon into the tab pull.
