STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Fold your card base. Adhere the Cinnamon Cider layers.
Use the smaller Sahara Sand layer of 3-1/2 x 4-3/4” and place in the Painted Texture Embossing Folder; run through your Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.
Die-cut a 3” circle from the Cinnamon Cider with the Stitched Shapes dies, and a smaller circle from the Vellum. Use the smallest Circle dies to cut the DSP and punch a 1” circle from Sahara Sand.
Let’s do the stamping : Stamp Hello baby in Cinnamon Cider on the small circle. Stamp Hello on the white tab die-cut. Stamp the inside Sahara Sand layer with a row of envelopes on the bottom, in Cinnamon Cider, stamp the hearts on the top left corner of the layer and LOVE YOU MUCH in the upper centre, to leave room for you to write a note and sign.
With Memento Ink, stamp the kangaroo, baby kangaroo. Let them dry, then colour them with the Stampin’ Blends. Die-cut them out.
Adhere the embossed Sahara Sand to the card base. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to stick the small Hello baby circle to the DSP circle. Use dimensional to adhere to the embossed layer.
Draw or stamp a few blades of grass on the bottom of the Vellum circle. Adhere the Mama Kangaroo on the Vellum, using snail or glue on the kangaroo (make sure you don’t place any adhesive on the part that will stick out from the vellum). Stick her on.
Adhere the Vellum Circle on the Cinnamon Cider circle only placing adhesive on the parts that are covered by Mama Kangaroo, so you do not see adhesive through the vellum. Adhere the Cinnamon Cider circle to the layer, with Stampin’ Dimensionals, (You can let it go over the edge on the right side as there is room on the Cinnamon Cider layer).
Adhere the little tab to the back of the little baby you have die-cut out. Make sure you don’t hide the hello. Insert the tab into Mama’s pouch.
Tie a bow and adhere to the smaller circle.
A few tips when you make this card …
I chose the linen trim for its softness and coordination with the Sahara Sand, but you can also use the Cinnamon Cider Ribbon for contrast.
The Cinnamon Cider DSP ties in well with the Painted Texture Embossing of the layer.
I used Vellum to soften the Cinnamon Cider and contrast with Mama’s body. Make sure you place your adhesive under the kangaroo when you stick it to the vellum so adhesive does not show through the vellum.
The little baby pull-tab is so cute. Under Hello, you have room to write the new baby’s name.
