Real estate boom calls for cards!
The real estate market in Quebec and Ontario is booming, since the start of COVID-19. City folks wanting a bit more of the country open space and peaceful surroundings and telework means no more commute in trafic (at least for now). So many of our friends and family have bought a new house and it calls for a Congratulations card.
Luckily, Stampin’ Up! has just the bundle: Coming Home is this year’s Making a Difference set, with $4 going to family-oriented charities with every purchase. Although it is perfect for a Congratulations card, it also works very well for Christmas cards.
how to
Cinnamon Cider card stock cut 8-½ x 5-½ and scored at 4-1/4
Early Espresso card stock cut at 5-¼ x 4” (2 pieces - one for layering the inside, plus a piece for layering the sentiment)
Very Vanilla 5” x 3-¾” (2 pieces) use one for layering on the inside of the card. Scrap piece to stamp the sentiment.
I embossed the Very Vanilla with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder and used a sponge dauber to add Cinnamon Cider ink lightly on the brick wall
Cinnamon Cider ¼” ribbon
I stamped the house and tree from the Coming Home Stamp Set and coloured them with Stampin’ Blend markers. Then I cut them out with the Home Together dies from the bundle.
Once everything was done, I adhered the Very Vanilla to the Early Espresso and wrapped the ribbon around the left side. I stuck the ribbon to the back of the card and just tied a knot on the front (easy way to get out of making a bow).
I popped the house and tree up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I stamped the sentiment, flagged the tip. I flagged the tip of the Early Espresso layer too and added them to the front of the card.
All that is left is to stamp the inside greeting and decorate. Decorate your envelope as well.
Welcome to the neighbourhood !
