FUN FOLD DONKEY CARD

Darling Donkeys are no doubt the darling of the new Sale-A-Bration stamp sets, available for FREE with a qualifying order of $60 (in Canada). Here is another card inspired by a Dawn Griffith creation.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Darling Donkeys Stamp Set (155264)

• Approaching Perfection Stamp Set (155282)

• Memento Ink (to colour the donkeys)

• Stampin’ Blends : Grey Granite Combo and Petal Pink Combo

• Misty Moonlight Classic Ink

• Basic Grey Cardstock cut at 8-½ 5-1/5 scored at 4-¼”

• Basic White cardstock, cut at 5-¼” x 4” and a piece to stamp the donkeys and the greetings (greeting is 3-½” x 1”) extra for donkeys and Hee Haw.

• Misty Moonlight Cardstock cut at 5-¼” x 4”

• DSP Misty Moonlight Wood Grain pattern, 2 pieces cut at 1/1/2” x 6.

• Stitched Shapes Dies (Largest Circle Die)

• Paper snips

HOW TO

• Fold the Basic Grey card base and use a bone folder to press a crisp fold.

• Adhere the Misty Moonlight layer to the card front.

• Cut out the circle with the Cut and Emboss Machine and the largest circle of the Stitched Shapes dies (it will cut through the two layers)

• Place the white inside layer how you want it, stamp the greeting in Misty Moonlight so the banner and circle will hide it when folded over.

• Stamp the donkeys in Memento Ink and colour with Stampin’ Blends.

• Fussy cut the Donkeys.

• Adhere the two strips of DSP together so both sides show the same pattern. Flag the tip and score at 4-¼” at the other end.

• Position the banner strip behind the inside layer of Basic White. Adhere the fold behind the inside layer. Adhere the layer to the inside of the card base. Adhere the circle on top of the flagged banner so it appears in the cut-out circle when the card is folded.

• Decorate the circle with the Hee Haw greeting and the fussy cut donkey with Dimensionals.

• Stamp the top Greeting on Basic White Cardstock in Misty Moonlight and flag the edges. Adhere the Happy Birthday Greeting (flagged on both sides, to the top layer of the card with Stampin Dimensionals.

• Adhere the second donkey to the bottom corner of the inside layer.

• Decorate your envelope.
