Free as a Bird Corner Tuck Card

Free as a bird is one of my favourite stamp sets, so I brought it out again to get a bit of a springtime feel. Stay to the end of the video to see other corner tuck cards that don’t actually use a corner to tuck the fold. To order any of these supplies, go to my online store.

HOW TO

  •  Score your base cardstock at 5-1/2 and 2-3/4” and burnish with bone folder.

  • Layer the piece of DSP on the Pool Party layer and attach to the left fold of the card base.

  • Layer the Pool party layer on the right side of the base.

  • Do your stamping and colouring: stamp the birds on the Basic white top layer, colour with Stampin’ Blends; stamp your greeting on the inside layer of the card. And a small flower on a Basic White scraps that you will punch out with a 1-inch circle punch or die.

  • Attach the Basic White on the inside of Pool Party.

  • Attach the top stamped and coloured layer on the smaller Pool Party.

  • Attach the ribbon over the top layer, so you don’t hide the birds. Adhere to the back before permanently adhering the flap.  Create a small knot (or bow).

  • Adhere the top layer with the birds to the left flap, so it is centered with the bottom inside layers.  Only place adhesive on the left side of your image layer.

  • Punch a scalloped circle from a scrap of Pool Party cardstock. Adhere your stamped flower layer on top.

  • Place Stampin’ Dimensionals on the Pool Party lower right corner. Attach your circle to it, leaving most of the circle without adhesive so the card corner can tuck in.

  • Decorate your envelope.

And most importantly, have fun !
