EASY FANCY FOLD WITH HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHICK
Hey Chick is back from 2017, for those of us who benefited from Sale-A-Bration, back then. For the new crafters, it is available for purchase with a brand-new set of dies to match. In addition to this cute stamp set, Stampin’ Up! Has come up with Happy Birthday Chick, the theme of our card, this week.
WHAT YOU NEED
· Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set 154464 or bundle
· Chick Dies 158199
· Birthday Chick Dies 158200
· Old Olive Cardstock 100702 – 1 sheet cut in two pieces measuring 5-1/2 x 8-1/2”
· Basic White cardstock (159276) 2 pieces cut 4” x 5-1/4” – small strip ½” for greeting
· Early Espresso scraps (for sign and fence)
· Memento Ink Pad
· Stitched So Sweetly Dies (151690)
· Assortment of Stampin’ Blends (your choice for colouring)
· Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (152320)
HOW TO
· Cut and fold both pieces of Old Olive, score at 4-1/4”
· Cut a sliver off one of the pieces, to help with layering and folding the card base.
· Using the rectangle die from the Stitched so Sweetly Dies, cut out a window for the top of the card base.
· Then, run only half of the card base in the Pinewood Planks Folder.
· Adhere the other piece of Old Olive to the base to create a 3-panel card.
· Stamp the chick and cupcake on the Basic White, with Memento Ink. Make sure it is positioned to be seen through the window. Stamp the greeting and the chick on the hidden bottom. Colour your images with Stampin’ Blends (I used Pumpkin Pie, Cinnamon Cider, Daffodil Delight)
· Stamp the inside of the card – add a few sprinkles in the background and add your greeting.
· Adhere the Basic White layers to the card base.
· Cut out the fence and the post sign from scraps of Early Espresso.
· Line the cut-out window with the fence, so it is seen when you open the top layer. Adhere with glue dots.
· Stamp the Birthday greeting and adhere to the post. Adhere with Stampin Dimensionals.
· Make/decorate your envelope by stamping the chicks or other images.
