BEAUTY OF THE EARTH FANCY FOLD CARD
One of the first suites of the new Stampin’ Up! annual catalogue is the Beauty of the Earth Suite and, as the name suggests, it is a beauty. Nature is all around us and this set reflects the trees with inspiring textured stamps, Designer Series Paper and dies. This card uses the two sides of one pattern. It is so easy to do and has a little technique I haven’t used in a long time.
WHAT YOU NEED
Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set 154983

Beauty of the Earth 12 xx 12 (30.5 x 305 cm) DSP 155841 cut 2 strips of 1” x 4.-¼” for the side panels and two pieces of 4-¼” x 2” for the sides of the fancy fold part and a piece of 3 x 3-1/8” for the top of the card.
Basic White Thick Cardstock 159229 4-¼” x 5-½” for the back panel of the card.
A piece of Bumblebee cardstock measuring 3-¼ x 3-⅜”153077
A scrap piece of Early Espresso 119686 for the tree die-cut
A scrap piece of Cajun Craze or Cinnamon Cider (optional if you want to layer the top of the tree)
Basic White Cardstock 159276 4-¼” x 11” for the fancy fold part

HOW TO
Adhere the small 1” strips of DSP to each side of the Basic White Thick cardstock
Score the long Basic White paper at 2”, 3-3-¼”, 7-¼” and 9”. Burnish your folds with a bone folder.
Adhere the 2” strips of DSP to the outside folds of the Basic white.
Stamp your greeting on the inside and on the right hand bottom corner of the smaller piece of Basic White
Run the scrap piece of Early Espresso in the cut and emboss machine, with the tree shaped die.
Run the scrap piece of Cinnamon cider (optional) and the DSP with the Tree top shaped die. Cut two birds with Cinnamon cider.
Soften the fibres of the tree top pieces with the bone folder, then fold as small as you can in your hand. Unfold.
With liquid glue, adhere the tree to the white top layer of the card. Add the unfolded pieces to the tree.
Adhere the Basic white piece to the Bumblebee piece. Add adhesive only to the left folded layer of the card. Adhere the Bumblebee piece on the left fold of the card only.
Decorate your envelope.
