Magnolia Lane Foldable Box
When I saw this video by Pootles (Sam Hammond in the U.K.), I thought it was just a perfect idea to get ready for the holidays, or just to have a pretty box on hand when you are wanting to give a last-minute gift. Since it is foldable, you can make several for the holidays, with any pretty Designer Series Paper and any ribbon you have on hand.
What you need
1 sheet of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (12 x 12)
1 sheet of Mossy Meadow cardstock (12 x 12)
1 piece of Whisper White cardstock 2 x 5”
16 inches of any coordinating ribbon
Good morning Magnolia Stamp Set 149298
Magnolia memories Dies 149578
Triple Banner Punch 138292
Scalloped Tag Topper Punch 133324
Simply scored scoring tool 122334 (or Stampin Trimmer with scoring blade)
How to
STEP 1: Take the Mossy Meadow (you do the same for both sheets)
On each of the four sides, score at 3” and mark at 6” (just a tick).
STEP 2: Do the same thing for the Designer Series Paper.
STEP 3: Where there is a mark, join the lines with another score line. They will automatically intersect with the other score lines. Repeat the same process for the Designer paper.
STEP 4: Burnish the straight lines (with bone folder), meaning reinforce the folds. Cut the corners as marked on the sample card. Cut a little triangle shorter so it doesn’t buckle. Rotate and do the same process for all four sides. Repeat the process with the Designer Series paper.
STEP 5: Place adhesive Tear and Tape on all the parts of the triangles. Join the angles to create the box.
STEP 6: To fold it flat, push the triangles in the middle and flatten, you can flatten in all directions to make sure it stays flat.
Note: Usually, if you make a top the same measurements as the bottom, the top might not fit. However, with this box, because of the fold, you can work it on perfectly.
